New Deal Self Employment, which is delivered by Ledcom on behalf of the Department of Employment and Learning, gives an opportunity to those individuals who are long term unemployed to explore the idea of self employment.
The programme involves training, mentoring and the New Deal client accessing a small grant. In addition to the above the New Deal client gets an opportunity to test trade their business idea for 6 months, while still claiming their benefit, before they decide whether to go into self employment. |
