| The Borough has a vibrant population of 30,857 (2001 Census) with
a growth rate of just over 4% since 1991. Two-thirds live in the
town and over 60% are of working age (16-65 years). 65% of the
population are economically active. With significant on-going
housing development, Larne has been identified by government, as
a medium growth town, with over 145 hectares having been zoned
within the development limit for Larne town. |
